A Customer Airline Staff Preliminarily Tested Positive for COVID-19

Cathay Pacific Services Limited (CPSL) has been notified that a customer airline staff was preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19 in the evening on 24 December 2020. The Company has notified staff via intranet immediately. 

It is our understanding that the family member of the airline staff was diagnosed with COVID-19 in the earlier time. The airline office is at 5/F Office Building of CPCT.  The individual wore mask when performing duties and last reported to work on 21 December at 2/F Block B. As a precaution, all co-workers in CPSL who had been in contact with the index staff will have COVID-19 test. CPCT has arranged thorough cleaning and disinfection in offices and places where the airline staff visited.

We always remind all staff and terminal users to maintain good personal hygiene and advise them to seek medical advice immediately if they feel unwell. We are keeping in close contact with the relevant authorities and units in Hong Kong.

The company detailed reviews every case and evaluates the risk to make necessary adjustment on our preventative measures. We have fully observed the guidelines issued by the Centre for Health Protection and put in place additional deep cleaning and supplementary disinfection. We also maintain close contact with Centre for Health Protection to ensure our terminal operate in a hygienic and safe environment.
