Department: Safety and Security

Safety and Security provides support to CX subsidiaries in the business scope of Cargo Terminal, Passenger Handling, Ramp Handling, Laundry Services and Catering Operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety and security environment within the company through training, monitoring and recommendation.
  • Establish and implement comprehensive and strategic systems, processes & procedures to safeguard the company, staff and airline’s properties from threats or risks, its contractors’ safety and security performance.
  • Develop and implement safety & security plans to ensure the properties of the company, customer airlines and staff are well protected.
  • Assist in handling safety and security reports and maintain the safety and security reporting occurrence database of the company.
  • Coordinate with line departments in conducting risk assessments on operational activities, reviewing safety & security rules and regulations for operations.
  • Plan, organise and conduct safety and security awareness training and promotional activities for the staff.
  • Monitor the company's compliance with all relevant Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) legislations and promoting continuous improvements in OSH management system practices.
  • Communicate and co-ordinate with government departments on all safety and security related matters, policies or procedures.
  • Oversee the performance and operation of the safety and security personnel.
  • Review the current investigation procedures for safety and security incidents to obtain a speedy & effective result with remedial actions.
  • Ensure a tight control of access to premises of subsidiary companies and ramp area through a strict permit issuing system.
  • Handle ISO 45001 audits in respect of the area of Emergency Preparedness as well as different safety & security audits and inspections from internal and external parties.
  • Closely liaise with the superior on matters pertaining to safety and security personnel, vehicles and equipment operating in the apron area.
  • Support other CX subsidiaries for matters of safety and security and completes other projects/assignments as directed by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
  • Be a Registered Safety Officer (RSO), preferably a Registered Safety Auditor (RSA).
  • Preferably attended Aviation Security (AVSEC) training.
  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in safety management, including 3 years at managerial level, in relevant business environment or sizeable organization.
  • Good knowledge and solid experience in managing Safety Management System and ISO45001.
  • Knowledge and experience in aviation security management are preferred.
  • Exposure in airport ramp operations or aviation industry is an advantage.
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
  • Consistency in delivering high quality work with strong organising and analytical skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and other PC applications).
  • Good interpersonal & communication and presentation skills with proactive, tactful and result-oriented personality.
