Department: Safety and Security

Safety and Security provides support to CX subsidiaries in the business scope of Cargo Terminal, Passenger Handling, Ramp Handling and Laundry Services and Catering Operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for site safety matters and conducting regular safety inspections to identify and monitor the workplace safety hazards and formulate preventable measures
  • Minimize the risk level of any machines and working procedures to an acceptable safety level
  • Handle accident & incident investigations and conducts risk assessments
  • Administer the Hazard Reporting System and ensuring potential hazards are being addressed
  • Organize and conduct safety training for staff and prepares relevant safety training materials
  • Assist in the implementation of Safety Ambassador Programme and various safety promotional activities
  • Establish and further develop statistical criteria/model for qualitative and quantitative analysis of safety data in conjunction with the industry standards
  • Actively monitor the operation for trends and provides regular reports on significant safety issues
  • Produce analytical reports and presentations to senior management and external agencies related to the safety performance
  • Handle regular and sudden safety inspections and audits from Labour Department, external authorities and customer airlines
  • Support other CX subsidiaries for matters of safety and security and completes other projects/assignments as directed by superior

 

Requirement:

  • Tertiary education in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in safety management in relevant business environment or sizeable organisation
  • Preferably be a Registered Safety Officer (RSO)
  • Good knowledge and solid experience in managing Safety Management System and ISO45001
  • Exposure in catering services operations is an advantage
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Consistency in delivering high quality work with strong organising and analytical skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and other PC applications)
  • Good interpersonal & communication and presentation skills with proactive, tactful and result-oriented personality
  • Holder of a valid driving license (No. 1 and 2) is an advantage
