Temperature checks enhancement

12 February 2020

In view of the latest development of the novel coronavirus infection, there is a need to tighten the existing temperature check to cover all visitors, staff and personnel including those who enter the Cathy Pacific Cargo Terminal via vehicles with effect from 1200 noon on 13 February 2020. Prevention of virus infection is our top priority to ensure health and safety of staff and business partners.

It is reckoned that people movement and traffic flow at the terminal entrance temperature checkpoints may be slowed down, your understanding is much appreciated. Cargo agents and drivers are advised to allow sufficient time for relevant temperature check procedure to avoid any delay for cargo acceptance.

If symptoms of respiratory develop, please wear mask and seek medical advice before entering to Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal. We strongly suggest all terminal users to check their temperature before coming as an additional precaution. Out of an abundance of caution, when the temperature is 38 degrees or above, or having respiratory symptoms, they will not be allowed to enter the terminal.

We are keeping in close contact with the relevant authorities in Hong Kong and acting in line with the response and recommended actions.

Your support and cooperation are vital to prevent the spread of the virus.
